The European Recovery Plan offers a unique opportunity to fuel Europe’s growth, while supporting its transition to a low-carbon economy. In line with the European Commission’s Green Deal, green and smart priorities are at the very heart of the European Recovery Plan, with at least 37% of the funding that should be allocated to climate and a further 20% to digital measures.

While some Member States are still in the process of finalizing their recovery and resilience plans before the April deadline, others have already set their priorities and submitted their plans to the European Commission. To ensure the EU is up to the challenge and seizing the opportunity for a sustainable recovery, the coming months will be crucial to outline ambitious reforms and investment projects in key sectors such as buildings, energy, transport and industry.

The Diplomat-Bucharest organizes the first edition dedicated to CIRCULAR ECONOMY in ROMANIA on February 16, within an ONLINE event joining relevant stakeholders of governmental and economic departments, companies, groups of interest and experts.
The project referring to the Strategy for the Transition to a Circular Economy (ROCES) 2020-2030 developed by IRCEM in partnership with the Romanian Ministry of Environment, Water and Forests and the Romanian Government’s Department of Sustainable Development aims to define the pillars to support Romania’s transition to a circular economy by involving all relevant stakeholders and by attracting the necessary financial support.

The Diplomat Bucharest will organize the first online edition of GRID INTEGRATION OF ELECTRIC MOBILITY
FORUM 2020, on 18th of November between 10:00 11:30

Electric mobility is the power key-topic of the present demanding a fluent synergy of technology solutions providers, innovators, car producers and energy suppliers. The focus should be maintained on delivering the right technologies to enable a user-friendly integration of electric vehicles into INTELLIGENT POWER GRIDS. The development of smart grid concept in power grid has advanced the role of ELECTRIC VEHICLES to grid technology. In recent years, it has seen an increasing interest in the deployment of Vehicle-to-Grid as a service to users of Electric Vehicles. The integration of grid technology allows bidirectional energy exchange between electric vehicles and the power grid. Consequently, the automotive industry, the power suppliers and the developers of charging stations will synchronize within safe, feasible and effective smart power grids that include and enable the use of electric vehicles and the innovative technology.

• Viitorul energiei nucleare: Adoptarea mecanismului de Contracte pentru Diferenţă ca suport pentru continuarea investiţiilor la reactoarele 3 şi 4. Pot reprezenta reactoarele mici modulare o alternativă viabilă?
• Stadiul proiectelor de interconectare transfrontalieră în sectorul electricităţii în contextul închiderii grupurilor pe cărbune;
• România a devenit, începând cu anul 2019, importator net de energie electrică. Cui prieşte importul de energie?
• Va fi dată în funcţiune, la finalul anului, noua centrală pe gaze de la Iernut a Romgaz? De câte astfel de centrale are nevoie România?
• Digitalizarea sectorului energetic, cel mai important pas în gestionarea provocărilor viitoare ale industriei;
• Cum văd investitorii străini mediul investiţional din România?
• Asociaţiile regenerabililor spun că noua lege privind achiziţia de terenuri blochează investiţiile în regenerabile – ce rămâne de făcut?

• Cadrul legal şi oportunităţile dezvoltării electromobilităţii în ţara noastră.

Romanian Association for Promoting Energy Efficiency and QualitEE organized, on the 25th of February, the workshop “Energy Efficiency Services – The development of quality assurance for energy efficiency service projects and the outcomes of the QualitEE project”.

Event was organized in two parts:
– a public workshop dedicated to public institutions and companies, but also to energy service companies, ESCO;
– an exclusive workshop dedicated to energy service companies, ESCO.

The QualitEE project, funded by the Horizon 2020 program, aims to drive responsible investment in energy efficiency services in the building sector by increasing the trust of clients and financial institutions in energy service providers. This project is managed by a consortium comprises 12 partner organinisations covering 18 European countries.
